From Fajardo we headed over to Palominos Island, a privately
owned island a mere 3.25 nautical miles from Fajardo. The island is used by the
luxurious El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo to offer their guests a private tropical
beach oasis...complete with a tender to ferry them back and forth.
With no reason to go ashore we spent the four days we stayed
there enjoying the scenery, stowing and planning our next moves before heading
onward.
